There comes a time in life when one has to look at oneself and see if life is as it is to be.  There are many things that can get in the way of becoming whole and most of these involve unconsciousness.  Unconsciousness is where the masses exist and many make an unconscious decision to stay there.  Consciousness on the other hand is quite the opposite and now a place the masses dwell.  Consciousness can be still and quiet in the midst of chaos with the knowledge that the chaos has meaning, not the meaning most see, not the meaning the unconscious show up for.  Chaos or drama in ones life can be there for distraction and it is this distraction that keeps one from the self.  The self is connected to the divine and the divine can be an energy that feels quite unfamiliar when connected to it in consciousness.

I talk to and see many people who don’t understand the word addiction and the definition I most use is; addiction is explained by seeing whatever you are doing to distract yourself from yourself and continuing to do it when you are aware that it is a distraction that can be causing consequences.  It can be anything and by that I mean work, doing, chemicals, care-taking, school, reading, television, exercise, rescuing others, eating, shopping, obsessive thinking, anything that makes you go unconscious.  The feeling that you get when you are doing whatever you are doing is one of numbness and lack of connectedness with yourself.  The energy of ourselves that resonates within is the energy that is projected outward from us to create our reality. This projected energy is used to create everything of our outside world, every situation, happening, occurrence, relationship, and environment. If we gain an understanding and awareness of this energy, we can be responsible for it and inevitably create the life we wish.

We have become a part of the masses and no longer have a mind of our own.
